Our 2022 MOIA Conference is quickly approaching and will find us all gathering at a new location in Springfield and a new added track of training.
The executive committee has once again put together another great conference and we added a new Protect Our Children track that will engage all those that have a role in the Multi-Disciplinary Team approach to child abuse and human trafficking investigations. This brings together all those that we work with daily to solve cases and offer services to, enabling all of us to network and bring a better service to those we serve every day.
This will be our first year of this new track and we hope that will continue to grow over the years and offer some of the best training in the mid-west.
You will see some changes to our website and the ability to pre-order merchandise through the website as well. All of this will be constantly updated for our members.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to any of the committee members or myself.

This year, MOIA has partnered with leaders of Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) and Child Advocacy Centers (CAC) in Missouri to add a track of topics relevant to the investigation of child abuse. Child abuse is a critical issue impacting the safety of our communities. On average, 24 children per day seek services from a Missouri CAC. That’s one child, every hour! All cases referred to the child advocacy centers are investigated with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach that may include forensic interviewers, law enforcement, Children’s Division workers, prosecutors, juvenile officers,
mental health providers, medical providers and others. Nearly all Investigators will have contact with kids at some point, so you do not need to be a current MDT team member to attend sessions in this track.
Who should attend? State Investigators, Law Enforcement Officers, Private Investigators, Security and Loss Prevention Managers, Forensic Interviewers, Victim Advocates, Prosecutors SAFE-CARE providers, mental health providers, Children’s Division staff, Juvenile Office staff, other Multidisciplinary Team members, and administrative personnel assigned to those investigative/regulatory agencies.
